Covid-19 Update (as at 3/17/21)
Effective 3/17/21, Riverside County, where Catalina Spa and RV Resort is located, has advanced into state’s “Substantial – Red” reopening. This new risk level is the second of the 4-risk level tiers. It will remain in the red tier for a minimum of three weeks and meet the orange tier metrics for two of those weeks before advancing further.
What is the ‘red’ tier level means for amenities offered at CatSpa?

CatSpa’s two mineral hot springs pools are open 24/7 as before, with water temps in both pools hovering around 92-95 F.
- The spas (hot tubs) remain CLOSED as we are unable to supervise limiting the number of bathers at 25% capacity.
- Aqua fit classes and water volleyball are still on hold until our County reaches the Orange Tier Level.
- Pickleball and bocce ball courts are open for casual playing (no tournament taking place). Guests need to play with their own equipment. In addition, pickle ball paddle sets are on sale at the CatSpa Store, located at the lower clubhouse area — open 1-4 pm daily.
- Bocce balls as well as mini putt/shuffleboard/horseshoe/corn hole equipment are available upon request at the Welcome Center. In addition, all indoor games (cards, bingo, etc.) and live entertainment have been cancelled until further notice.
A reminder that social distancing and facial covering are required in all indoor and outdoor public settings outside of the family bubble. For sport play like pickleball, masks are required upon entering and exiting the court.

Pickle Ball
Join the fun in the fast paced game of pickle ball on one of our six newly refinished courts under the direction of our Pickle Ball Coordinator who will provide teaching for the beginners, help the experienced with new challenges, coordinate a USAPA sponsored team play tournament and sponsor Round Robin play throughout the season.
Inside Games
Catalina Spa sponsors various indoor games and tournaments. From card Bingo and card game tournaments, just to name a few, there is something for everyone!
Outdoor Fun
Catalina Spa recently debuted its new Playground, part of the revamped Kids Zone. Families can enjoy picnicking, bocce ball, free, unlimited 18-hole mini golf course. During the winter season, Catalina also sponsors horseshoe and bocce ball tournaments.
Card Games
Our hosts will provide the materials for games of Hand & Foot, Card Bingo, Pinochle, Poker, Rummy, and introduce you to new games as well. Throw in games of Mexican Train to the mix as well.
Water Sports
Everyone is invited to participate in every weekday Water Aerobics as well as Water Volleyball in two versions (Recreational Play and Non-Aggressive Set & Spike)Monday through Saturday. Two mixers and one team tournament will be held each season (November, January and February) for all who are interested in playing Water Volleyball.
Day Trips
What shall we do today? What is there here we should see while we are here? Catalina Spa provides day trip directions for many local outings you can take by car like Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs Tramway, Map of the Stars, and many more!

*A Covid-19 Note: As a place of business open to the public and operating in California’s Riverside County, Catalina Spa and RV Resort abides by Covid-19 restrictions as dictated by the CDC, California State and Riverside County. Currently–and since mid-October 2020–the risk level tier is at “Widespread” level, the highest and most restrictive of the 4-tier level system in the State of California. As a result, some of our ‘normal’ amenities have been affected: both clubhouses are closed to indoor gathering for social events and entertainment. Our two mineral water springs pools are OPEN 24/7 for your convenience; please note that hot tubs must remain closed, in accordance with the Widespread risk level. Pickleball, bocce ball as well as other outdoor games like mini-golf, shuffle board, corn holes, and horseshoe are all open.
